Our Sphere communities are defined as affinity based groups that meet for the purpose of building relationships. These range from people gathering to study scripture to playing kickball. There are three seasons that we run these 10 – 12 week groups:

Spring – Jan / April

Summer – May / August

Fall – September / December.

You are welcome to join these groups when they are in progress and you don’t have to wait until we launch them three times a year. The size of these groups can range from 5 people to 25 people and depend solely on the type of group that it is.

Fall Season

Space Jam…

Encouraging individual discipline in daily devotional time by way of awesome weekly group meetings. Each week we will meet up and discuss questions, revelations, and comments regarding the weekly reading, as well as reading through some scripture together within the group setting.

I Samuel Bible Study

Looking to dig a little deeper into the lives of people from Status and engage in the stories of some significant people in the Bible? We’ll spend the fall learning from Hannah, Samuel, King Saul, David & others in the book of I Samuel. This Sphere will be a place to bring yourself (wherever you’re at in the process!) and invest time to better know the Lord and be known by a smaller community within Status.

Outdoor Activity Group

The group is a fun place to meet new people and do what you love (being outside) and building community with each other. We will be hiking, camping, biking, running, walking, visiting theme parks, springs, and other outdoor places of interest. If inclement weather we will figure something out to do indoors!

Yoga

Yoga can be a beautiful worship experience when we allow the Holy Spirit to penetrate our practice. Each week we will partake in an hour of yoga together built upon the foundation of Christ and the peace of God. No prior yogic experience necessary!

The Acts Project

Calling all Full Sail students! We feel its time for an artistic awakening as we touch the Creative heart of God. We will be reading the book of Acts and then unleashing ourselves to go out to touch the lives and hearts of others. Heres the twist though, we will do it with the artistic gifts God has given us and connect them through His creative heart through prayer, worship and fellowship! Come and join us for a supper, bring some kind of finger food to share and enjoy a meal together!

“Interested in saving money? Want to learn what the Bible says about tithing? Need to make a budget? We invite you to join us on Monday’s at 7 PM for a 12 week study on principles based on Dave Rasmey’s Financial Peace University, as well as what the Bible says about money in regards to saving it, spending it, tithing it, and just giving it. We will share ideas, discuss different approaches, and ask God to show us in what ways we need to submit everything to Him.”

Status Commentary

Thy Art Jam

Thy Art Jam believes in creating art as a form of worship to our Father in Heaven. We are purposefully crafted by the Master Artist to do great things in our lives and in our art. Join us in learning what it means to really offer your art and your life to the source of all life and creation.Art for God’s sake. In Thy Art Jam, we realize that God is the master artist of the universe. This is Thy Art Jam sphere, where once a week we will come together to laugh, have fun and make some art for God! All styles, and types are welcome and encouraged to come. On top of Art we are taking the time to be involved in our community here in Orlando. We’ll collectively explore the galleries of downtown and share in volunteer opportunities. Come, be unique and be Loved.

The SP’s

This Fall we continue our study of the daily life of Jesus through reading and discussion of the four Gospels. It is our hope to renew our love for the Lord and discern direction in life by studying how Jesus lived his. As a group we also spend time together at meals, in prayer, and fellowship outside of Tuesday nights, based upon the account of early believers in Acts 2:42 and our desire to sharpen each other. Nothing required, but we encourage you to bring a Bible because we feel everyone has something important to contribute to discussion.

Talk It Over

This group will address what God’s Word says about various topics such as finance, addictions, generosity, relationships, etc. This round table discussion will be led each week by someone with an extensive background in whatever topic we will be discussing. If you are looking to learn practical biblical principles that you can apply to several areas of your life, this group is for you!

Daytona/Deltona Sphere

Our sphere will satisfy the long overdue need of connecting and engaging Daytona/Deltona residents within the community of Status, as well as allowing the community of Status to better reach out to those living outside of Orlando. In addition to carpooling to and from Status each Sunday, we will be reading the book “Power for Living” By T.D. Jakes and will discuss the book among other topics each week in fellowship around a bonfire on the beach. Experienced followers, new followers, seekers, and Orland-ites are all encouraged to attend.
