Pastoral care is the ministry of care and counseling provided by pastors to anyone connected to the STATUS community by caring for them through shepherding. Shepherding involves protection, tending to needs, strengthening the weak, encouragement, feeding the flock, making provision, shielding, refreshing, restoring, leading by example and encouraging people to move on in their pursuit of holiness and overall holistic health. This can range anywhere from conversations with people that want to come alongside you and listen and speak truth over you, to referrals out to licensed counselors, to recommendations for support groups. Our goal is to listen, support, and encourage people to pursue Christ more fully. Sometimes the first step in achieving freedom from our past is to address it and allow Christ to heal us and redeem our stories for His glory.
