FISH

FISH is a ministry run out of the University of Central Florida whose purpose is to befriend internationals that come to the USA to study. Their goal is to welcome international students to Orlando, partner with them in friendship, and above all things show them the love of Christ. The international community at UCF includes students from all over the world- Asia, the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and South America- and FISH seeks to welcome all people, of all races, ethnicities, languages, and cultural backgrounds.

FISH believes and promotes the power of friendship evangelism, but has no patience for those looking to force conversion on our members. We expect that all volunteers be mindful of the students background and beliefs, sensitive to cultural issues, and respectful and loving when sharing the gospel.

We require anyone joining this service opportunity to receive and become familiar with a basic informational pamphlet about the cultures and religions you will be serving. It is our job as believers to be informed and knowledgeable, fighting ignorance, so that we can be used to our full potential for the gospel. (1 Corinthians 9:19-23)

Time Commitment: At the least 6 months, with a requirement to attend at least 1 event a month
